Here is the information for the Spring-Summer 2013 Player Development Programs with Coach Simms' Elite Skills Academy on Wednesdays, the Classics-Harding Hoops Skills Academy on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays, Coach Coleman's Summer Camps and Training, and information on the TrueAP Speed and Agility training, Sessions are underway but it is never too late to join in and improve skills.

Classics Elite and Harding Hoops Skills Academies Information

Coach Nadiyah Simms' Classics Spring-Summer Basketball Elite Skills Development Academy begins on Wednesdays, starting April 17th at Albert Einstein HS Aux Gym.  Sessions are 7-8pm or 8-9pm.  The spring series runs 10 weeks thru June and the Summer Session will be five weeks in June-July.

Classics AAU Basketball in partnership with Harding Hoops, announces the 2013 Spring-Summer Classics-Harding Hoops Advanced Skills Academy.  Harding Hoops is widely considered one of premier skill development programs in the Mid Atlantic. Harding Hoops lead trainer and former Pro player Andrew Harding travels throughout the East Coast conducting elite level trainings for players from the Grassroots to Professional level.

The Classics-Harding Hoops training program is designed to provide advanced basketball skills development training in small groups for Classics players who want to further improve their basketball skills outside of regular team practices.  Similar to the speed and agility training program with our partners at TrueAP, training sessions are suggested at once/per week. There are multiple evenings to choose from so players would not miss a team practice session.  The training sessions will be held at the Champions Fieldhouse, 40 Southlawn Court in Rockville.

The academy program will provide several key elements to enhance a player's development to a higher level of performance.

  • Small group training (8-12) in player skill development "focus groups" allows players to establish a better vision, hold themselves accountable to their goals, and learn ideas/concepts to take their game to the level they desire.
  • Permanent focus group roster "spots" and pricing are given to players who enroll. Focus groups with Andrew Harding/Harding Hoops are hard to come by. These players will keep their spot at the price they enrolled at as long as they choose to remain in the Classics-Harding Hoops academy program. Our goal - to train committed players the right way until they move on to the college level.
  • Ongoing support and access to Coach Harding and his staff insures you always have access to the help you need to make changes, ask questions, revamp and revitalize your game, or just stay on the right track.
  • All-inclusive access to the Harding Hoops Training Program is part of this partnership with Classics AAU Basketball. That means, every player enrolled in a Focus Group has unlimited access to Harding Hoops/Team Harding group sessions outside of the Classics-Harding Hoops Skills Academy session during the week. That means extra training sessions per week for quality training and repetition.
  • Weekly Training Charts will be distributed to all players within the Academy. This will act as weekly "Homework" to further hold each player accountable for their development. Players will only get as much out of the workouts as they put in.
