Registration, Schedule, and Pre-tryouts Open Gyms Info Below!!

The Classics AAU Basketball Club Fall-Winter season tryouts will be the weekend of September 6-7. 
Saturday's sessions will be at Einstein HS and Sunday's at Churchill HS for boys and girls grades 3 through 8. 

For players entering 9th-12th grade, the current high school teams will continue through mid November. There are no fall tryouts for our high school teams.  If you are new and looking to join one of our high school teams, please contact us at info@classicsbasketball.com so we can connect you with the appropriate grade group/coaches or drop by the HS open gyms - see open gym info below.

SCHEDULE INFO:  
Saturday Sept 6th Tryouts Sessions will be held at Einstein High School, Main and Aux Gyms between 12-9pm.
Sunday Sept 7th Tryouts Sessions will be held at Churchill High School, Main and Aux Gyms between 10a-7pm.

REGISTRATION & TRYOUTS DAY CHECK IN/PAYMENT INFO:

REGISTRATION INFO:
For players on teams from the 2025 Spring-Summer season who have an existing player profile you are already set.  (e.g., If you have been receiving club-wide emails about camps and tryouts over the summer you are registered with the club - please do NOT submit a new player profile).

For new players, please try and submit a player profile via this link, (http://classicsbasketball.d1scout.com/index.cfm?page=pdf_playerProfile), by Thursday September 4th, at least 2 days before the tryout dates!! 

Again if you are/were on an existing team and have a current Classics Player Profile (i.e., you are receiving club wide announcements about tryouts, gear sales, etc.) you are all set- PLEASE do NOT submit a new player profile! 


TRYOUTS CHECK IN/PAYMENT INFO: 
For the tryouts, players should arrive about 15 minutes before the scheduled tryout session to check in outside the GYM, and obtain a numbered tryouts pinnie. 
There is a tryout fee payment is $25. $20 for players returning from the Spring-Summer season. (One time fee covers all tryouts/pre-tryouts sessions.) 
Payment in cash or via check on the day of the tryout is preferred. 
PayPal payments of $26.50 (New players) or $21.50 (Returning) can be sent via PayPal app to: @classicsbasketball 


PRE-TRYOUTS OPEN GYMS INFO:
We are holding several open gyms before the tryouts weekend. These pre-tryouts sessions are open to new and incumbent players to meet the coaches and get in some work before the tryouts weekend. There is no cost for these open gyms. (Again, this schedule is subject to change if the schools change their plans during the initial week of school. We will update this section as soon as we are aware of changes and email all with a Player Profile registration as well.)

Note: Not every grade/coaches are holding an open gym (e.g., 3rd girls, 5th boys), and with the start of school a player may not be able to attend a particular open gym for their grade.  In these two cases (no open gym for grade or schedule conflict), a player may attend the next higher grade open gym and let the coach know they are in the lower grade.

Hoover MS, 6-730pm: 5^th Grade Girls (Coaches Dwayne, Jon,  Michael)
Hoover MS, 730-9pm: 7^th Grade Boys (Coach Ray)
Westland MS, 6-8pm: 7^th Grade Girls (Coaches Jermaine, Mandy)
Einstein HS Aux Gym, 730-9pm: HS Girls (all teams open gym)

WEDNESDAY, Sept 3rd:
Newport Mill MS, 6-730pm: 6^th Girls (Coaches Paige, Tim, Shira)
Newport Mill MS, 730-9pm: 8^th Girls (Coaches Anthony and Dave)
Einstein HS Aux Gym, 730-9pm: HS Girls (all teams open gym)

THURSDAY, Sept 4th:

Attention High School (9th-12th grades) Players: 
For high school teams and 8th grade teams moving to 9th grade in the Fall of 2025, your season continues for the fall through Mid November to just before school team winter tryouts.  Your coaches should be in touch soon about fall practices, fall leagues, college prospect camps, combines and shootout events!
